About Melvin Stewart

Melvin Stewart has work experience in economic development as well as education at the collegiate level,  all in the CSRA.  Melvin managed a community action and a legal services program that provided services to citizens throughout the CSRA.  Melvin's first employment at a local college for 16 years consisted of administrative and academic duties.  At CSRA RESA, Melvin is responsible for coordinating the Youth Apprenticeship Program, Learn and Serve Program, School-to-Work Initiatives, and assist with P-16 Initiatives.  Melvin enjoys working with students, and is heavily involved with economic  development and environmental justice.  Prior to being employed at RESA, Melvin was a board member for the CSRA Economic Opportunity Authority, Inc. and is currently a member of the Mayor's Augusta Brownsfields Redevelopment Authority, Hyde and Aragon Park Improvement Committee, and the Richmond County Neighborhood Association.

At CSRA RESA Melvin specializes in the coordination of the Youth Apprenticeship Program, Learn and Serve Program, and the School to Work initiatives.  Melvin assists in P-16 initiatives, and is the CSRA Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Program coordinator.
