Deciding a career change was in order, Ken obtained certification and worked at Adrian Elementary School in Emanuel County for one year, moving to Swainsboro Middle School for subsequent years. While at SMS, Ken wrote and a one-act play for a Master's Degree course requirement entitled "Hear My Laughter". The play was nationally published by Encore Performance Publishing and has been performed throughout the United States. He is also the author of another one-act play "First Runner-Up". Both plays deal with the tumultuous time of adolescence and portrays how teens and pre teens handle these difficult but formative years. Dr. Daniels' terminal degree was awarded in 2004 by Nova Southeastern University in Educational Leadership. This program, according to Dr. Daniels, was a wonderful experience in global educational issues. "It afforded me an opportunity to collaborate with instructors from the most prestigious universities in the United States and gave me a well rounded, worldly perspective in effectively tackling school improvement initiatives." |
