About Beth Williams
Beth earned her bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2009.  Her final semester there she interned at the state residential school, Mississippi School for the Deaf in Jackson, MS.  During her months there she learned the Fairview Method of teaching conceptual signs to deaf and hard of hearing students.  Before graduating, she also interned with Magnolia Speech School in Jackson, MS and assisted in teaching students from ages 14 months to 2 years how to communicate orally.

As the Deaf Education Specialist, Beth provides deaf education services for five different school systems in the CSRA. Functional hearing evaluations, media assessments, and technology evaluations are provided and assessment driven educational programming is implemented. Consultation services are provided to students, school systems personnel, and parents. She provides instruction in the use of hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive technology and appropriate accommodations for specific hearing disabilities.  She provides one-on-one curriculum instruction when needed.
